alexkusu SG Morning busy day ahead going to restructure my hair and hair colour all the best rainneeeeee
fudgester SG May I restructure your hair for you? I'll do it for free. *prepares the turpentine and lighter*
rainee SG finally finished first lesson...quite worried abt this student of mine...his performance seems to fluctuate a lot Anyway, going for my lunch now, later need to think abt the restructure of my course at least i dun have as much work as the kepoh colleague of mine, he proposed a new course and his idea was accepted, but he ended up having to come up with the course plan for 6 different courses in 2 months Means need to type all the sample essays and cannot be copied from any sources, must be his own
fudgester SG I'm thinking of going on a short backpacking trip to KL. After looking at my account balance, I think I can set aside S$400 for the trip. Comments?
LazerLordz SG Hmm, I think it's fine, but you won't be able to buy a lot of stuff though. Hotels are not cheap, even the budget ones cost 140RM or so... unless u know of youth lodges..
fudgester SG Well, I'm not really into shopping. Perhaps a couple of shirts for the new semester, that's all. And I'll be there for around three days. I've been looking at some youth and backpacker hostels in KL on the web. Their prices are pretty reasonable - I can get a pretty decent place for US$8 per night. I'm just wondering if there are any hidden costs.
alexkusu SG $400 is about Rm800 rite? Shud be enuf..if u skimp n save on stuffs..depends how long ur stayin though. Last time I just went for short trip to Maro's hometown, my expenses ran into 4 figures within a few days
rainee SG sumtimes those really cheap places can be real creepy my frens stayed in a very cheap hostel and the next day she moved out cos she said she cant stand the creepiness best thing is of cos if u can find someone who is staying there and bunk in for a few days...or get some frens to join you then all squeeze into a decent hotel room
fudgester SG Well, I've been looking at the list of backpacker hostels here: http://www.hostelsweb.com/hostelsweb.com/findabed.php They've got pix of the living conditions there, and some look pretty good. I've also checked out the reviews of some of the hostels on other backpacking sites, and I've pretty much narrowed down to the Pujangga Homestay and Equator Hostel.... if I do want to go to KL, of course. I'm still a little undecided on whether or not I should go.
rainee SG hmm any frens who are planning to travel there as well? It is a bit unsafe to travel there alone leh, unless you are already very familiar with the place...
fudgester SG Nope. I'm planning to go alone. I want to gain some experience in travelling alone. The way I see it, sooner or later I'm going to have to travel alone anyway. There's a first time for everything.
